Reyes Beer Division was the first company that started what is now known as Reyes Holdings. In 1976, fresh out of college, brothers Chris and Jude Reyes opened a small Schlitz beer distributorship in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Within a year, the Reyes brothers added another distributorship in Savannah, Georgia and by 1979, they moved the company’s headquarters to Chicago. There, they purchased a distributorship with a small share of the market and with their flourishing entrepreneurial expertise, transformed it into a powerhouse, helping our organization grow to become the national leader it is today.
Never resting on success, we are now comprised of 13 local beer distributorships across the country. But we didn’t get there all at once. With hard work, a strategic mindset and our customers’ and suppliers’ best interests in mind, we have grown our presence in the marketplace over the years while staying true to our values. At Reyes Beer Division, we are committed to reducing the carbon footprint of our operations, delivery systems and their impact on the environment. While we are making strides in operating with a more responsible and sustainable mindset, there is always room to improve our efﬁciencies. Working towards a better tomorrow is an ongoing commitment we’ve made through continuous innovation and process improvements, with plans already in place to grow these efforts in the future.
As the largest beer distributor in the country, it’s our responsibility to have a positive impact on the communities in which we operate, from our supply chain to our operations to our local community efforts. And in order to do that, we understand that it starts from within.
Our community partnerships are purpose-based, supporting causes RBD and its employees care about. We may provide in-kind donations to registered 501(c) organizations within our territories that support our company philanthropic and cultural focuses. While we would like to be able to support all causes that are worthy, please understand that because of the demand, we often have to gracefully decline.

Reyes Holdings, L.L.C. is the holding company for five business units: Reyes Beer Division, Martin Brower, Reinhart Foodservice, Great Lakes Coca-Cola Bottling and Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling. Together, they create the Reyes Family of Businesses. Founded in 1976 by two brothers, Chris and Jude Reyes, Reyes Holdings remains a family-run business to this day and is one of the largest privately-held companies in the country.
